Open Education Resources Workshop - Friday, Feb 23, 2-4 PM (Miller Hall 2327)
Learn how to "Support Students, Improve Retention, and Save Money" by offering low cost and no cost teaching materials or textbooks with CJ Ivory from the library and Beth René from the FDC. This presentation will review the various types of Open Education Resources (OERs), and discuss how to curate, store, and integrate them into your teaching. We will briefly review copyright and discuss how the Library and the FDC can support you with your OER explorations.
Kickstart Your Summer Online Course, Friday, March 2, 2-4 PM (Miller Hall 2327)
This workshop covers the skills and tools needed to begin building a course. Topics covered are setting up your course, reviewing Course Admin, Course Content, Discussions, Assignments, Quizzes, and Grades. Note: Not all options/settings will be covered in this basic training session.
Accessibility Workshop - Friday, March 16, 2-4 PM  (Miller Hall 2327)
This workshop will show you how to create accessible course content for online publication. We will work on meeting accessibility standards in documents, pdfs, presentations, and spreadsheets.
Quiz Tool Intensive Workshop  - Friday, Mar 30, 2-4 PM  (Education Center 204)
This session covers how to create a Quiz in CourseDen and manage restrictions. In addition, we will discuss strategies for reducing Academic Integrity Violations, such as creating and using randomized question sets.
Gradebook intensive - Friday, April 13, 2-4 PM  (Education Center 204)
This session covers the Grades tool and how to set up and manage a gradebook. We will also cover publishing final grades, regrading or correcting errors, adding bonus items, and importing/exporting from Excel.
Open House CourseDen Session - Friday, April 27, 2-4 PM  (FDC in Old Auditorium)
This open session will focus on answering your CourseDen and online pedagogy questions.
